Training: The MTA London
Laura worked professionally as an actor in London for a number of years before moving to Hampshire. Her credits include "Tommy" at the Prince Edward Theatre (Ensemble), "Island Song" at The Other Palace (Antonia), "Divas Unsung" at the Leicester Square theatre (Ensemble), "Much ado About Nothing" at the Lion and Unicorn (Margaret), "The Winters Tale" at the Lion and Unicorn (Emilia).
Having worked in a number of styles of theatre Laura took to the creative side of the process, directing , writing and choreographing in a number of productions across the country. Her first play "Big Girls Don't Cry" debuted at the Blue Elephant Theatre in London in 2013.
Laura founded StudioCoop in 2024 and is excited to bring small challenging studio theatre projects to the local theatre community.
Owen is no stranger to the Hampshire theatre community, having directed a number of productions in various local theatres and being a trained Drama Teacher. Productions he has directed include both “Disney’s The Little Mermaid" and “We Will Rock You”, which won NODA Accolades of Excellence, as well as “The Addams Family”, “The Pirates of Penzance, “Annie” and “Legally Blonde” to name a few. He also is a paid Acting Coach for a local theatre school.
In the coming months he will be bringing "SpongeBob the Musical" to the stage for BATS Next Gen, and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" for BAOS. He is very excited for both!
As a champion of local theatre and a young directorial talent, Owen has worked with a variety of companies in Hampshire not only as a Director but as Show Manager/Producer.
With his new found passion for producing and his wealth of experience, we are thrilled to have him onboard the StudioCoop team.
Having trained in performing arts and been part of various productions both within and around the Basingstoke area, James has developed a real love theatre. Over the years he has appeared in '9 to 5 - The Musical' (Joe), 'Elf - The Musical' (Buddy), 'Sister Act' (TJ) and even got to appear in his dream role of Collins in 'Rent'. As well as these he has appeared as ensemble in various other productions as well as worked as part the productions' creative teams as dance captain and choreographer.
In 2021, James took on a role in the marketing team for a local amateur theatrical society, where he has helped to create content for their Instagram, as well as help to grow their following and boost their ticket sales. He also helps to support in other areas within marketing, including design.
